CareerWizardsInc is a relatively standard resume writing service, but it does offer plenty of resume options and solutions. You can choose from student, entry level, executive or managerial resumes, with extra choices for military personnel and more. Packages offer savings if you’re interested in additional documents or services, which can include career or interview coaching.

The problem is that Career Wizards Inc just doesn’t stand out from the crowd. It offers little that you’ll find elsewhere, and it’s a bit more expensive than your average resume writing website. However, its range of services might mean that you end up saving a little money in the long run, and returning customers might locate a writer they’re pleased with and can work closely with.

Resumes take around 5 business days to write once you’ve had your interview with the professional writer who has taken on your task. You can then work with your writer for up to 7 days to make sure you’re satisfied. Whilst this 7 day grace period isn’t too bad, other sites will offer unlimited changes for longer periods, particularly if you don’t receive an interview.

The site offers a job search, which can come in handy for targeting roles which suit your skills. Employers can also post jobs online for your to explore, so you have quite a direct link with them. You can search for keywords (such as occupation titles) and locations, and then filter the results based on the date they were posted or their distance from you. This works fairly well, although it might be better if there were more options and filters as we retrieved quite a number of results in our searches.

If you’re not sure whether your resume needs any work, you can take advantage of the free analysis provided by CareerWizardsInc.com. This allows a writer to make vague suggestions on where the strengths and weaknesses of your resume might lie, and for them to offer support. They can also work on your LinkedIn profile if you aim to use that to attract potential employers. 

There are a few extra features, such as a salary calculator, although none of them particularly leaps out as being unmissable. Meanwhile, customer service is available through live chat, phone calls, email or the online “ask an expert” pages. 

In short: Career Wizard Inc is a little more expensive than we’d like. Their range of services is pretty broad, but nothing really jumps out as being exceptional. Turnaround times are also fine, but not all that fast if you need your resume to be written quickly. It might be worth taking a look at their job search, maybe even at their packages, but unfortunately they merely fall into the realm of being “somewhat average.”
