RedStarResume writes resumes using a team of experienced, professional writers. It tailors the layout and depth of your resume, based on your experience and the type of job you’re looking for. They also offer links to online courses, expert job-seeking advice and more.
If you’re an ardent capitalist, don’t worry – Red Star Resume doesn’t have any communist associations. At least, we don’t think so. They’re simply a group of resume writers and employment specialists who want to help you land your ideal job. They do this by offering writing services, working closely with you on your resume until you’re happy with it. Not happy? They’ll keep on working at your resume until you are!
Documents take 2-5 days to be completed, normally, but you can opt for a quicker service which can deliver your resume within 24 hours. Additional services, such as LinkedIn profile building, are also available, although sometimes the costs are kept behind a locked door. The reason is that the prices will vary depending on the depth of your resume and your experience in that industry. From the prices we’ve seen, the cheaper resumes are for the least experienced job-seekers who are looking to enter a career at a lower position, which makes sense.
Prices stated are fair and in line with the industry standard, even a little cheaper in some cases. We were pleased to see that the writers take the particular industry and your location into account when writing and designing your resume. For some industries, or in some areas, some details might be particularly relevant whilst others might need to be excluded. This level of knowledge is impressive, if they pull it off effectively.
Apparently, 96% of clients receive an interview request within 10 days of their resume being in circulation, which is pretty impressive! They achieve this feat using a few tricks. One feature of this service is that they write their resumes to pass automated resume selection tests, which hunt for key words within the resume to filter through the masses. This gets you past the first gate keeper. After that, they provide a keyword rich resume which helps employers to easily identify whether you have the main skills they’re looking for, putting you on top of the pile.
Red Star Resume have some tricks up their sleeve which might just set you apart from the crowd. Prices are fair, and they offer a few extra features worth considering. They could do more in the way of offering samples, as well as including distribution services, and they’re a little slower than some services (using their standard speed service) but on the whole it looks like they do a pretty decent job at getting their clients interviews.
