Pongo Resume combines resume writing services with online resume writing tools to give you the best of both worlds. You can request that a professional writer produces your resume from scratch, then use the online system to adapt and edit it for a variety of jobs. They also offer letter writing services and a few links to help you find work.

When it comes to having your resume professionally written for you, you can choose from entry level, experienced or executive packages. The entry level resumes are ideal if you’re just joining the work force or are looking for a new job at the lower end of the business structure. More experienced employees will benefit from the Experienced resume option, which is ideal for mid-career level individuals. Meanwhile, for upper-end jobs such as directors or senior professionals, the Executive resumes are available.

Each resume is written based on your requirements. You provide your writer with a range of information about your experiences, skills and direction; they then go ahead and write your resume. You can receive your resume in a variety of formats, meaning you can easily distribute it online or produce hard copies.

Once your resume is complete, you can edit it for yourself or ask a writer to help you to develop it for different jobs. Pongo Resume includes some really handy online tools for editing resumes, including being able to adapt the layout or include set phrases which will help you to sound a bit more professional. This is really useful if you know you have a skill but can’t quite phrase it properly.

Prices are very reasonable. In fact they’re pretty low in comparison to some other resume writing services. In addition, your resume is delivered 2-3 days after you have provided subsequent detailed information to your writer, so you won’t have to wait around for a long time to be able to send it away to employers. 

Professional letters can also be written on your behalf, including cover letters, follow ups and thank yous. These are, again, reasonably priced compared with the standard charges in this category. Unfortunately, Pongo Resume doesn’t appear to offer packages which combine resume and letter writing for a discount, which is a little disappointing. 

The site itself is well designed and easy to navigate – you shouldn’t encounter any problems when searching for information. We would, however, prefer to see more options in the way of helping you to find a job, train for interviews and so on. This isn’t absent, but it is a bit lacking from PongoResume.com.

This website is primarily designed around its automated resume builders, however you can still use those tools in conjunction with the uniquely-written resumes available from the team’s set of writers. Prices are low and Pongo is a relatively big name in the resume writing industry, suggesting that they get clients returning time and again.

If you want a really in depth resume writing process and plenty of careers support, you might wish to look elsewhere for now. However, Pongo Resume has a lot to offer, particularly if you just want to get the ball rolling on your resume and then adapt it yourself later on.
