If you need a personal, professionally-written resume fast, you can receive it the very same day (so long as you pay the extra!) They also offer a range of additional services including writing separate documents, uploading your details onto job-seeker sites and creating LinkedIn profile pages.

If you’re not sure how the whole process works, the site has a helpful “How it works” section which also tells you about the writers who work on the resumes. You can find out about a writer’s specialism and experience, which means you can find someone who will suit your specific requirements.

The samples pages allow you to explore a few examples of resumes which have been written for other applications. These display a range of layouts and approaches, which is good to see as often resumes can all look the same. Their range of samples is a little limited, but there are enough to give a flavor of what’s possible. If you're not keen on a certain font or display feature, you can ask your writer to adapt it to suit your tastes, which could be particularly important if aesthetics are important to your dream job.

Generally speaking, prices are reasonable. If you wish to have multiple documents written, you can ask the sales team about receiving a package discount, which is good to know. However, the website does not publish package prices, so it’s hard to discern what the total cost might be until you call up.

This information is provided for free. More information like this would be handy, particularly if the site could provide free lists for all users to access.

We were pretty impressed by Resume2Hire. It’s a simple site but they seem to do the basics right for a reasonable price. It's a pity that they no longer seem to offer the rush service (taking 24 hours rather than 3-4 days), but perhaps their team have chosen to focus on quality over speed. It's certainly worth checking out, as their pricing is very competitive.
